Installation Materials
Miniature Circuit Breakers
GEYER is one of the most historic companies for the production and marketing of miniature circuit breakers (MCB’s) in the global market. Its experience and know-how, which spans over a century, guarantees that electrical installation materials are the safe and secure choice.
GEYER’s MCB’s bear the company logo and the distinctive S mark of the Intertek certification body. GEYER designs, produces and distributes for the Greek and European market the following series of MCB’s
- Monopolar MCB’s
- Bipolar MCB’s
- Three-pole MCB’s
- Four-pole MCB’s
The rated voltage of the MCB’sis 230 / 400VAC 50/60 Hz, 60DC with a maximum operating voltage of 440VAC. Their rated current is from 2A to 63A, characteristic B or C and the insulation level is 500 V according to DIN VDE 0110 TEIL 1 and 2.
The MCB’s protect the cables and the installation materials from overload, while our devices from short circuit. They are free to release and can be opened on their own even if the power lever (key) is pressed. They include a thermal element for protection against overvoltages and a magnetic fast disconnecting element for protection against short circuit 6000 A with a voltage of 230V / 250V. They also have a shut-off mechanism, an arc quenching system during the shut-off while the plastic housings of the MCB’s are made of self-extinguishing material. Their ability to operate in ambient temperature variation is from -20 o C to +50 o C. They are suitable for connecting pipes with input side up to 25 mm 2 and output side up to 25 mm 2 .
The thermal operation of the MCB’s (overload) is achieved through a bimetallic plate. Whenever there is a strong current increase, above the acceptable limits of the characteristics of each fuse, the bimetallic plate is heated, deflected from its original position and the circuit is interrupted.
In the event of a short circuit, a sudden increase in current causes the electromechanical displacement of a piston contained in the coil within the fuse. The piston strikes a lever which in turn releases the locking mechanism (key). In both interruptions the user returns the key to its original position.
Distribution boards
A distribution board is the point where the power supply is distributed in an installation. Its purpose is to distribute the power supply evenly throughout the installation through different circuits. The incoming power must be controlled in such a way as to prevent the occurrence of overloads.
GEYER has a large number of boards for each type of installation. From the smallest installation with a single security to the most complex industrial installations, GEYER has the solution. Recessed, wall-mounted, waterproof, plastic, metal-plastic from one to four rows give the solution that your installation needs. Made and harmonized with European standards at the company’s facilities in Chalkida.
Large spaces at the top and bottom of the board, a large number of terminals for wiring as well as enough space under the rails to pass cables from there, make the energy distribution a work of art in the hands of the installer. The electrostatic painting of the metal parts or the whole panel ensures its longevity and appearance.
